Day 02

Ancient Wonders of Anuradhapura

After breakfast, you will proceed to Anuradhapura, the ancient capital of Sri Lanka, renowned for its rich history and magnificent monuments. This sacred city, once home to one of the world’s most advanced civilizations, boasts towering pagodas reminiscent of Egyptian pyramids. During your exploration, you will witness the awe-inspiring Aukana Buddha statue, the Thuparama Temple, and the intricate Isurumuniya rock carvings, each reflecting the grandeur of this ancient kingdom.

Day 03

Polonnaruwa Heritage & Minneriya Wildlife Safari

After breakfast, you will visit the Ancient City of Polonnaruwa, the medieval capital of Sri Lanka from the 11th century AD. This historic city rose to prominence after the decline of Anuradhapura and is home to remarkable ruins, including the massive Parakrama Samudra reservoir, the King’s Council Chamber, and the Royal Citadel.

Day 04

Sigiriya Rock Fortress & Village Experience

After breakfast, you will proceed to Sigiriya, home to the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, one of the most remarkable wonders of the ancient world. This magnificent rock formation, towering above the surrounding plains, was built in the 5th century AD by King Kasyapa as both a royal palace and a fortress.

The climb to the top is a thrilling challenge, taking approximately 90 minutes. Along the way, you will pass key highlights such as the Mirror Wall, the world-famous Sigiriya Frescoes, and the grand entrance of the Lion Gate. The well-preserved ruins offer a fascinating glimpse into the ingenuity and architectural brilliance of ancient Sri Lanka, making Sigiriya the best-preserved city center from the first millennium in Asia.

Day 05

Dambulla Cave Temple & Kandy Cultural Experience

After breakfast, you will proceed to Kandy, stopping en route at Dambulla, a city rich in ancient heritage and part of Sri Lanka’s renowned Cultural Triangle. The Dambulla Golden Cave Temple Complex, dating back to the 3rd century B.C., is one of the country’s most well-preserved historical sites. The temple, perched on a 160-foot-high rock, features five main caves adorned with intricate paintings and statues depicting the life of Lord Buddha.

Upon arrival in Kandy, you will explore the cultural capital of Sri Lanka, nestled in the scenic hill country.
